Qualified Galen Myotherapist offering canine massage, biomechanics and rehabilitation services in Newcastle upon Tyne and saurrounding areas.
I have always loved taking dogs on adventures and seeing them enjoy their lives, and I know how difficult it can be to live with a dog who is struggling to do this. I was inspired by the many dogs I worked with to help dogs stay fit, active and healthy.
Having worked with and owned dogs with chronic or long-term conditions, I truly understand how difficult it can be to find the right support. You want to do what’s best for your dog, and I’m here to help every step of the way.
Galen Myotherapy is more than just massage—it’s a choice-led, hands-on treatment that supports dogs with musculoskeletal issues through specialised techniques and tailored rehabilitation advice. My approach is dog-centred, focusing on their individual needs while also providing you with the guidance, advice, and ongoing support to help increase their comfort and wellbeing.
I offer an initial course of three treatments, after which we review your dog’s progress together to ensure this approach is right for both them and you.
As a Positive PACT® practitioner, I prioritise giving dogs the freedom and movement they need during treatments. By allowing dogs to control the pace and intensity, I can effectively address areas they might otherwise resist.
Postural and gait analysis, along with the Galen Comfort Scale, are performed before and after treatment to evaluate its effectiveness.
As part of your dog’s treatment plan, I’ll recommend simple yet effective lifestyle and environmental adjustments.
Each dog's treatment plan is carefully tailored to suit their specific needs and promote their well-being.
Galen Myotherapy can be used as part of a multimodal approach to reduce the pain and compensatory issues of many chronic musculoskeletal conditions.
I am Newcastle based, but operate around North East to deliver services to you and your dog in your home.
